Cryogenic Tank - an overview
Liquid H 2 (LH 2) can be stored in cryogenic tanks at 21.2 K and atmospheric pressure. 1 A schematic LH 2 storage tank is pictured in Fig. 14.6 with main leak sources. Different shapes can be used (Fig. 14.7).Spherical reservoirs are optimal but need to be appropriately supported. Cylindrical reservoirs are more common (liquid helium, liquid nitrogen, liquefied natural gas).
